I'm a experienced Mac user for quite some years and still have a iMac Intel, Mac mini and Power Mac G5 and several Hackintoshes.
This build was with a used Intel Quad Core Q9300 processor from eBay (€ 45). This computer will be used as a server for an video surveillance application with five IP cameras. Therefore I don't need a GPU, but could use the Intel GMA X4500 of the G41 chipset with the DVI connector (with 1024x768 resolution only).
I used Tony's UniBeast 1.2 to install Mac OS X 10.7.3, which went smooth and I used MultiBeast 4.5.2 with the following options:
- EasyDSDT Install
- System Utilities
- Drivers & Bootloaders / Kexts & Enablers / Audio / Realtek / Realtek ALC8xxx
- Drivers & Bootloaders / Kexts & Enablers / Audio / Realtek / AppleHDA Rollback
- Drivers & Bootloaders / Kexts & Enablers / Audio / Realtek / Non-DSDT HDA Enabler / ALC889
- Drivers & Bootloaders / Kexts & Enablers / Disk / IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector
- Drivers & Bootloaders / Kexts & Enablers / Network / Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx Ethernet
Geekbench = 5.576
The standard install gave a Geekbench score of 5.576.
Not bad for a € 270 build with 1TB hard drive.
