Is there a need to run multibeast again before restarting?
If you are using a motherboard with the ALC888, ALC888b or ALC889 codec you will need to install the 10.6.2 AppleHDA Rollback to restore audio. You can do that anytime after installing 10.6.5

Hi MacMan, I have GA-P55-UD6 that is with Realtek ALC889A. I installed OS X using User DSDT. Is not clear to me if I need to run MultiBeast again to install AppleHDA 10.6.2.

Updated with no pain. Audio working without reinstallation of AppleHDA 10.6.2.

Finally pulled my balls together and Updated to 10.6.5
Haha...

Here's my contribution and what process I did:
- Download 10.6.5 Combo Update (I prefer this one rather than the SoftwareUpdate)
- Delete Extra Folder
- Launch MultiBeast but don't let the installer run
- Launch and install Mac OS X v10.6.5 Update (Combo), but don't click restart when it completes
- Run MultiBeast using the usual options. (don't forget the DSDT file)

STATUS:
- Working well so far, same as before...
- GeekBench same Result.

I'll be running it the usual and report if i'll recieve some errors... :D

UPDATE:
Only good news is now is that DWA-556 is now working on 64BiT!!!!
Only thing Weird is that GeekBench Info is showing that I'm on 32bit but on the System Profiler = 64-bit Kernel and Extensions:Yes

BAD News:
Owww men.. this SUCKS...
System is running a bit slower. Having graphic issues, when I run SC2, it just turns to black screen, you can hear the audio but black screen. Press the Command+Alt+F12 for sleep then click any key to awake, graphic will display. Every time it needs to load, it goes black screen. Back to Sleep/Wake method for the display to show up...
EEERRRRR..... :banghead:

Worked perfectly from Software Updater on my Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 (with core i5) and 9800GT graphics, even the sound worked perfectly without having to do any rollbacks - was the same experience as a real mac :D I did update my timemachine backup just in case....

KP, again and again ...
Now i use the new iBoot (thanks), same problem.
KP: mismatch between Kernel and CPU
on the screen i found: sk.triaxis.kext and sleepenabler behind the New Start Window.

DVD reinstall, but i found nothing about sk.triaxis.kext and sleepenabler.

Thanks for help :!:

"32-bit GraphicsEnabler=No"

Just updated both my systems, one with a GTX260 the other with an ATI 5770, however I can now no longer set anti-aliasing (multisampling) in any games, eg WOW. This occurs on both systems. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

Can anyone provide advice as to if these new drivers included in the update improve gaming performance? Any benchmark differences?
Is it worth it to update even?
