Looking for cheaper video card

I have been having some problems with my hd530 integrated graphics. If I turn my monitor off, I have to restart my computer.

Im looking for a cheaper video card that would be easier to make work. OOB in Sierra would be best if possible. I've used the search feature but haven't seen any real concrete answers. Just cards that I cant find anymore.

The 740 should work OOB, the 750Ti just needs you to install the Nvidia web drivers.

Thanks for the fast reply. Would you choose the Asus 750Ti over the Gigabyte? I noticed that the Gigabyte is a 4gb card.

I don't think the 4GB version is that important for a 750 Ti. There is a really great deal on the Asus 750 Ti right now at Newegg.

$77 AR is the lowest price I've ever seen for this card. It's new and not a refurb. If you will be running a triple monitor setup then the 4GB card from Gigabyte may be a better choice for you.

Quote me if I'm wrong I just wanted to put this one out there but isn't the Asus 750ti a troublesome card in terms of working ports. Some work and others do not. One of the reasons that the Buyers Guide only recommend EVGA and Gigabyte.

It's only a problem with the non-Strix version of the 750 Ti from Asus. That card has a non-reference port layout that is problematic.

Non reference 750 Ti with a useless VGA output. Avoid this one.

I wish I would have seen your post earlier. I bought the Gigabyte 4gb 750Ti card on Amazon. It came with a $20 dollar rebate.

You could cancel or return the order and then buy the Strix from Newegg. It's not a huge savings but if your budget is tight it helps out some.
