I'm so excited. I had to share. :D There are like 15 pictures to the case I won, and it looks in pretty clean shape.

But please don't expect workmanship from a metal specialist lol. But I will tell you I do have a dremel, I've used it many times, and I'm not afraid to use it again. ;)

I've been reading every thread here on the conversion process. From sticking in a MB tray to full metal customization of the rear panel. Can't wait to get started. :D

Measure twice and cut once. Good Luck. :)

I just got finished plopping in the 850 watt modular power supply in my g5 mod, i should post some pics. It can be a long long process but its worth it in the end. I definitely suggest getting a motherboard tray from mountain mods (the 80mm x2 option) as it makes life much easier. If you have any questions feel free to PM me as it's all fresh in my head, took me about a week to complete everything. Good luck!

Thanks guys. :)

I keep pondering the idea of dismantling the PSU or not. It would definitely make the case look infinitely cleaner, though.

I'm going to first try to hack up an old case. I want to cut as little as possible in the back of the G5, so I'm going to try to install an i/o area deep enough to fill the gap between the MB's i/o and the back of the case since I want to first try to align the MB to the card slots on the case.

I'll see, but mb tray is definitely on my list of possibles.

Thank you for the links, DavGerm4.

Actually, I have decide decided to take a different route. I am going to try to do a "cut-less" conversion. I have already researched all the specialty cables I'm going to be needing and most of the hardware. My end goal is going to try to have the case look as stock as possible.

But I will most certainly keep my options open with a tray. :) As soon as I get more hardware in, I'll start posting pics of what is happening.
