Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my songs In iTunes. I'm running iTunes off of my main OS drive with is an SSD (Crucial M4) and then I have my songs loading from my media drive (WD Caviar Green 2TB) which is formatted in exFat. When I click on a song to play it, it takes like 4 seconds to start playing and when I try to scroll through songs with the arrow keys, they take a long time to play as well. Also, adding songs to my library and changing song info is very slow. I've also noticed that if the songs are in m4a format, they play very quickly and I can scroll through them quickly, although changing their info is still just as slow.
So I'm not sure if it has something to do with being in Mp3 format? Or because my iTunes application and my iTunes library are on different drives?
