Is it possible to do software RAID 1 at install time?

What raid hardware are you planning to try ?

I have a Highpoint 3620 that I use for a big RAID 6 array, but I'd like to put the RAID 1 on it, too. The first attempt didn't work. I'm gonna re-try it with the above knowledge under my belt and see if I can get it to work.

Decided to stick with SW RAID 1. I'm pretty sure it'll be easier to upgrade with the SW version. Also, I was able to boot from the HW partition, but got an error into the boot of the kernel about waiting for the root device. Searching around didn't find any solutions, so I'd rather not waste the time looking for one.
