internal card reader won't mount

I have a internal card reader that if i put in sd card it is seen under disk utility but will not mount. is there a know issue??? I looked on boards can't find anything..

Can you be a bit more specific? Exactly which card reader are you trying to install?

What port is it plugged into?

Does it claim to be Mac compatible? With 10.6.x that you are running? Is there a Mac driver for it or is it supposed to be plug and play?

its 10.6.7, no kexts .. the wierd thing is it mounted one time and never again. not sure of the brand some generic one. would it be easiet to buy another one or maybe an easy fix??

No kexts? Did you use EasyBeast?

Did it mount when you started from HD or from iBoot?

i used user beast MB specific dsdt have gigabyte u58a-udr3 motherboard but no special kext for card reader, tried anycard.kext but same issue.
