I have a hack running Lion, updated as far as it goes. I never upgraded to Mountain Lion because I didn't need any of the features. I have some new programs I need to run for work and they require 10.8 or higher.... so I figured if I"m going to upgrade, I may as well try going to Mavericks. I haven't seen anyone successfully get Mavericks onto a system like mine, but I want to try.
I D/L'd Mavericks from the App Store and made my Unibeast USB stick.
I installed Mavericks and it goes through everything just fine and boots up. I tried Multibeast at this point, and when I try to reboot it hangs at the apple logo. So Back to the drawing board. Next install, I installed only the necessary sound components in Multibeast. Reboot (from the USB to my Mavericks install) and everything works fine. Installed Chimera from Multibeast, reboot from Hard DRive, and frozen at apple logo again.
On to install #3. This time, installed the Non-DSDT option in Multibeast, along with the audio components I need. Reboot from HD, and I'm in! Mavericks is running! Awesome! Only it locks up after about 30 seconds or so!
So I'm stuck. I can install and run fine if i'm booting from the unibeast USB, but I haven't found the right combination of settings to use with Multibeast to get everything running off the Hard Drive.
My system:
Intel DX58SO with Intel i7-960
12 GB Ram
AMD Radeon 6870 with 1GB
Any suggestions on what things I need and don't need with Multibeast that might get this thing running?
