I have an issue with one of my hacks

it is El Capitan 10.11.4, Clover 3424 h81 motherboard with i5 cpu 8gb RAM

The system will try to go to sleep but instantly wakes up constantly

The system log shows kernel: Wake reason: GLAN HDEF

can anyone shed light on what this is?

Make sure Wake On Lan is disabled in power settings.

thank you for reply however Wake on Lan is off and I get this issue.

Can you tell me what GLAN refers to?
I believe HDEF must refer to audio and am guessing GLAN is LAN but would like confirmation.

I have now resolved the HDEF part of the problem. I had left Audio disabled in Bios and not installed a kext. However was using the HDMI audio of my Nvidia graphics card.

I enabled the audio in bios and installed the kext for 887 from Multibeast. That got rid of the HDEF reference in the Wake Reasons.

removed my airport card completely - didn't really think that would fix it (Apple Card).

It didn't, is my initial assumption that GLAN referred to LAN wrong?

Can someone please let me know what GLAN refers to as a Wake Reason in System Log?

meaning of GLAN - instant wake up after sleep

BUMP - I need a pointer on what is causing my instant wake when machine goes to sleep - system log shows

wake reason GLAN

I have seen many mentions of GLAN in relation to waking from sleep issues but normally accompanied by EHC or XHC or similar.

I need to know what GLAN refers to i.e. the meaning of GLAN as a wake reason.

Check for Wake on Lan in Bios as well. Disabled it.
