Installation stuck after loading kexts

Here is my build:
Intel Core2Quad Q8200 @2.33GHz
4GB of Crucial DDR2-800 RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB
ASRock 4Core-D800-1600 mobo with Intel G33/G31 chipset
600GB SATA HDD
NEC IDE DVD-RW
LG FLATRON W2042S (1680x1050x32)

I'm trying to install OSX 10.6 but the installation gets stuck after loading the kexts. I've tried multiple bootflags (-v, -x, some others for the GPU) but it won't boot. Any suggestions?

Tried that, freezes after FakeSMC kicks in.

It happens when it loads the installer from the DVD. On verbose boot I can see that it freezes after it says "FakeSMC: 17 keys loaded"

Try GraphicsEnabler=No instead of nv_disable=1

-v -x GraphicsEnabler=No

It happens when it loads the installer from the DVD.

Which iBoot are you using ?

Note that the instructions say to use a CD not a DVD.
