Installation of OSX on Windows 8.1 HP Pavilion-15 Notebook

I have HP Pavilion 15 Notebook -p077tx :
CPU :Intel Core i5 -4210U
RAM : 8GB
Graphics Card: 4 GB (Nvidia GeForce 840M)
I have currently Windows 8.1 and want to install OSX Yosemite in Dual-boot without losing my files in my Windows 8.1.What steps should i take ? How should i install OSX Yosemite?

Your Windows install is likely UEFI. You will need to use Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

You can shrink your Windows partition, create a place-holder partition for OS X (NTFS or FAT32)... all in diskmgmt.msc...

... then format that partition in Disk Utility (HFS+J) and install OS X there. Hopefully your EFI partition is at least 200mb, otherwise there is issues (it would need to be resized, possibly by removing the adjacent MSR partition).

This should be obvious, but you should make a backup of your current system (and know how to restore using it).
