Installation of Lion without Snow Leopard?

Hey guys,
is it possible to install Lion directly without first installing Snow Leopard?
I could burn the image on the mac of a friend so that wouldn't be the problem.

Im just after doing this last night.

I had snow leopard in vmware. I went to the app store, bought lion, and restored the installesd image to a 16gb flash drive.
i then put extra lion, osinstall and and chameleon on the usb drive, rebooted my pc, and the installation went smoothly.

This also works, but it is harder for a beginner.
But the advantage is that with that method, you don't need any CD

Ok, thanks. I think I'm gonna go with the update from Snow Leopard, sounds a little easier.

It would be nice to be able NOT install S/L and directly install Lion. Any possibility on that happening?

But you'll need a working mac os x, either a hack, real mac or osx in vmware
