Just got this laptop and would love to get mac on it. Is it possible? Sorry this is my first time doing something like this on a laptop. Please help.

I have the same machine, except that I don't have mSATA and full HD.
I wrote some of my experience over at insanelynac site, under the notebook forum, just look for the 17R (7720) thread.

So far I found everything working, except:
- wifi: I change the card to another combo card
- sd card reader
- multi touch gesture on trackpad (works well as a mouse)
- AMD Radeon. you have to end up using the Intel HD4000

other than that, everything works really well.
Didn't update to 10.8.1 or 10.8.2
