hi,

i was looking for information about my upcoming system but didn`t found informations so far. i read a lot about systems with gigabyte x58a boards which work really fine with i5 and i7 cpu`s.
i want to build a i7 2600k system so i guess its a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4 to go with.
does someone have a 2600k system running stable. i am reading about issues all the time, like no sound and sleeping or rebooting issues.

is there a board you really appreciate?
don`t want to end up running nerdy scripts to get my machine running, so maybe better to go with a x58 board and a slower i7 (1155)?

thank you!

The X58 chipset only supports Socket 1366 CPUs like the Core i7 950, not the Socket 1155 Sandy Bridge CPUs like the Core i7 2600K. If you want to use the Sandy Bridge CPUs (Core i5 2300/2400/2500/2500K or Core i7 2600/2600K) you need a H61/H67/P67/Z68 motherboard.
