I've been to this forum a lot of times and wasn't really satisfied by the methods cause nothing seemed to work.
I've had experiances with Unibeast not booting up the OS as there is a sudden CMOS Break down due to which the system stops to respond and I Have to reset it again and again.
"The Wifi doesn't work after a install" this information is from people of other forums and they were dealing with distro's i din't actually want to try out a distro.

so the problem I have is, I want a working Mavericks or any other OSX above 10.6.8 on my IVY Bridge Notebook

SPECS:
Motherboard :
HP 1970
RAM : 4 GB
Wifi And Bluetooth : Ralink 3290 ( Will be replaced by another supported adapter)
Processor : Intel i3 3110m Ivy

I would like to know on what I'm supposed to follow to get the installation done properly with minimal errors.
I know its a trial and error process but there might be someone who has worked with the same hardware.
Thanks to tonymacx86 for the forum.

Mostly it is a matter of learning. To hack a laptop well, there are many skills you need to have or acquire. You need complete details on your hardware (what you have listed is not adequate).

You should read the sticky posts at the top of this forum.

I recommend using Clover, especially if your laptop has UEFI boot capability. Read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

Unless you already "purchased" Mavericks before, you'll need to go with Lion, ML, or Yosemite. Mavericks is only available to those that purchased it before. Lion/ML are available for purchase (see the Buyer's Guide). Yosemite is free if you have access to a Mac. You could also start out with Snow Leopard (purchase a DVD from Apple, use iBoot) just to gain access to one of the newer versions of OS X.

I somehow got it installed on my hardware but for some reason the laptop gets semi-bricked when there's a force shutdown or when the display is shut down due to low battery etc.

The problem is likely this: "I somehow got it installed"...

It implies you don't know what you did to install.

Still don't know what to do and would like to start from scratch. Own a mountain lion disc and converting it to a USB is hard because i don't own a Hackintosh or a Macintosh nor does anyone else that i know does.

Want it installed on this laptop but due to previous CMOS reset experiences i don't think the UniBeast will work.

Read compatibility overview: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/106791-laptop-compatibility.html

If you have UEFI capability, use Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

You can use Clover without UEFI (and you may want to try that), but I don't cover a legacy install in that guide.

Unibeast/Chimera (or Chameleon), read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-unibeast.html

Also, you will find many of the stickies here useful: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/
