I've been using 10.9 for a very long time now and before 10.8,7,6...

But since 10.10 comes with clover I cannot get things to work properly.

Is there a way to get rid of this clover boot loader and use chimera?

I installed chimera in 10.10 using multi beast but it keeps booting in clover...

Thx for advice!

Chimera is a fork of the Chameleon boot loader and does not work with El Capitan.

There is however another fork called Enoch which does work with El Capitan.

Any idea if this will also work with 10.10?

I'm always staying one version behind because of compatibility issues....

Thanks!

Both Chimera and Enoch should work with Yosemite.
If you are planning to upgrade to El Capitan at some point (and want to stay with the Chameleon method) it might be prudent to go with Enoch sooner rather than later.

I am using Unibeast 5 in trying to make a disk image of 10.10.

http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=260

But the install disk is still build with clover.

It says in the description "UniBeast 5 uses Chimera as the bootloader and supports OS X Lion, OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Mavericks, and OS X Yosemite USB creation.
"

Am I doing something wrong? I am selecting legacy mode, and that's the only option I'm presented with I think.

Cheers,
K.

Do not worry about the UniBeast boot loader - Clover or Chimera does not matter at this point. The task is to be able to boot and install OS X. Once OS X is installed, for Yosemite or earlier you can use the MultiBeast version for the OS X version and install Chimera boot loader as long as your hardware supports Legacy boot mode.
