Yes, they have a manual. New probook models use EFI shell. No need for DOS.
I made this one in Adobe Illustrator (personally I don't like the gray background). I would like to have the original splash screen to know the dimension of that apple in the center.

Yes. The BIOS Logo is independent of whatever OS you use/put on your (hard) drive(s).
