Good morning all.

I am going to be building a new machine for the studio and I am going to be using the suggested parts from here :)
GA-Z77X-UD5H and Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 & a i7-3770K 3.50GHz, Mountain lion osx

What I am trying to do before i order everything up is to make sure I have a guide to follow so that when it all arrives on my door step I am ready to go :)

the question i have to you kind people is, is there a settings list i can follow for these parts. any help or pointing to the right direction would be very appreciated.

thanks for your time and looking forward to your help.

kind Regards

Follow the guide here for your motherboard:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/99-quick-guide-configuring-uefi-gigabyte-s-7-series-lga-1155-boards.html

Download Unibeast from here:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=160

Then following the guide here, which also contains instructions for using multibeast, the post-installation tool:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

If you already have a somewhat new Mac (like, within the last 4-5 years), then you can buy and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. You need to install Mountain Lion onto an 8gb USB following the Unibeast guide.

If you don't already have a mac, you'll need to install from scratch from a DVD. There's a guide around here for that too.

Thats great thanks for the info, Once iIhave ML installed before I use Mulitbeast would it be best to do any OSX updates and then run Mulibeast?

I would finish off the instructions before installing any updates.

However, having only just finished my build, and using the latest Mountain Lion version, as of right now, there aren't any updates available. So, no worries right now.

TBH i am still trying to make a decision on what to install, I will be using logic for music production and have just been reading that ML has some major bugs with regards to the running of it, some problems with graphical stuff, apparently tho there will be a update for ML that solves the problem https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4142085?start=435&tstart=0

I have lion on my MBP and have the lion app all ready to use but would need to get ML of the app store its only £13 but do i really need it,

I just wanted to try and get the machine up to date on the first install make a clone and call it finished for the next 5 years, or more hope. all the components are in the post for tomorrow am delivery :) so i need to make a decision soon as the ML download is quite bit and my internet is SLOW.

again thanks for your reply :)
