The hd2000 currently doesn't work properly. And I don't know about the new kexts, how they might differ.

some guys in insanelymac were talked about that with 10.7.2 the only thing to change is adding your dev id only no need to setup modified kext because it contain all the missing things in intel drivers.

Not sure what exactly you mean. I know they work for me, but I had a fully working hd 3000 before anyways as I have the same device id as a MBP. So the SMBIOS by itself enabled it for me.

Re: HDMI Audio on Intel Sandy Bridge HD 3000 [TESTING]

can we convert intel 2000HD driver from linux to mac lion or even grab some code that make 2000HD working properly to intel kext?

This is not the place to discuss that.

Re: HDMI Audio on Intel Sandy Bridge HD 3000 [TESTING]

Any ideas on how to get this working tony? I would love to be able to cross this off. I will be more then willing to do any testing needed.

Re: HDMI Audio on Intel Sandy Bridge HD 3000 [TESTING]

I put the smbios.plist to Extra-folder and now I get this:

I had no previously those two Display Connector-options visible but I still can't use my VGA display, so I guess that's still a bit of mystery?

Now my system looks like this:

Same as all, I think.

Re: HDMI Audio on Intel Sandy Bridge HD 3000 [TESTING]

Hi,
Thank you very much for Chimera 1.5.3. I managed to install Lion on Intel DZ68DB with this bootloader. Here is a small report.

HDMI graphics basically does not work on my DZ68DB :(.
It makes computer very very slow so it is not possible to use computer.
DVI works fine.
Did not have a chance to test Display port.
One more interesting thing is Windows 7 x64 geekbench2.1 score is 12900.
Same time Lion x64 geekbench2.1 score is 11600
Based on geekbench log CPU performance is same on Windows 7 and Mac OS X
but memory performance is much better on Windows 7.
May be this is due to the some Chimera issues.

In my case, I found, though HDMI appeared to crash the system but, in fact, OSX was switching from HDMI to DVI automatically. When I moved the connector from HDMI to DVI (with the system running) when the wheel stopped spinning a working desktop appeared.

Perhaps this is what is happening to you?

I think that the configuration changes discussed over here:

are the key to resolving this problem.
