Haptic/momentum scrolling

I like smart scroll, but as Masso said, a vanilla option is definitely preferred.

I agree.
By installing this, installing that you will end up with a very heavy set up.
The scrolling at magic mouse is wonderful, if we can copy it, will be awesome.

I feel like if we accomplish this, it would also allow us to possibly have other gestures our tack pad supports, not to mention we'd be off of voodoops2 I think.

I searched all over the IOREG for a boolean that handles the graphic effect, but nothing.
Also, The ps2 trackpad configuration is totally different =|

One first idea: let's see if there's a free internal USB port. If yes => get/build a custom PS2 to USB adapter.

For the laptop, no, because that's what adapters are for ^^
No seriously, the OS would see it as an USB device.
Are there any MPB's with Synaptics trackpads out there? Then it could possibly work.

And does anyone know what protocol the MBPs' trackpads use?

As for smart scroll, I have it installed now, and it's far too buggy feeling. I think vanilla is definitely the way to go if we can figure something out.
