Hi guys. My hackintosh recently got stuck for no reason on a black screen after the chimera boot screen. It has been working perfectly for the past year. I suspect that there is a problem in the /Extras folder on the Hackintosh. I am running OS X 10.8.3 and I can't do a fresh install as I have a lot of projects on the Mac that I can't delete. I have tried the -f -v -x GraphicsEnabler=no PCIRootUID=0 (1) and no progress. Nothing is working. It freezes at "Read HFS+ file: [hd(0.2)/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache]183001651 bytes. Please any help would be greatly appreciated as I have some important files on this computer. Thanks (system specs below):

Processor: Intel Core i5
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 (unsupported for mackintosh but has been working fine for a year after some major tweaking)
BIOS Version: F8 (DualBios)

Tried the UseKernelCache=No (Yes) parameter?

Yes, I have tried the UseKernelCache=no. I think it might be a problem with my extras folder. Do you know how to bypass a certain folder in a boot session?
