Boot verbose, show photo. Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Also, post output from 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

And...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Thanks RehabMan,

I decided to clean install completely and it worked fine, appart from the known audio issue.
I then installed Logic 9 and it turns out it is not supported anymore in El Capitan. I'll have to start all over again with Yosemite or Mavericks.

Can Mavericks be installed with Clover using the same method ?

Laptops with AMD graphics only are not supported by this guide.

Thanks RehabMan,

I will be switching this laptop today then.
Do you think ill have a better experience with the 8460p?
What would you recommend since I don't have much experience?

Not sure if I did this right.

What is the purpose of this attachment?

If this is supposed to be "Problem Reporting" files, it is missing a lot of data requested. But it is clear from the ioreg that you didn't follow the guide.

Read post #1 and follow it carefully.

This guide supports Mavericks and Yosemite (or earlier). Depending on how far you go back, alternate audio setups may be required.

The laptops that the guide supports are listed in post #1.

I followed the steps many times but couldn't get audio to work on my 4540s (10.11.6). Everything else works perfectly. During installation, there were errors and I had to manually install AppleHDA: I changed the owner group of the patched AppleHDA from "staff" to "wheel", then copy it into /Library/Extension.

Please refer to the attached ZIP for troubleshooting. Thank you!!! :)

HP ProBook 450 G3 Skylake

The only things perfectly functioning are the trackpad and ethernet.
I cannot seem to get the audio, keyboard shortcuts, or WiFi to work.

I know it has been mentioned that Intel WiFi does not work but I was wondering if that had changed. The audio codec is Conexant CX7501.
Hi luke I've the same laptop and it is Just perfect with osx.
Check my previous posts and read carefully the guide by Rehabman.
Hope it help.
