I'm running the exact same configuration as you are, however I'm having issues with USB freezing when I plug devices in (unless it's before bootup).

Would you be able to shed some light into your installation process and possible a screenshot or lisst of the kexts installed.

Are you using a DSDT?

Any help would be most appreciated.

I see, so to even attempt to update the board I'd need a Processor that works on F5 Version?
Sounds to me that it may just be easier going for the 4690 if that is the case

(Sorry for lack of knowledge on this, I only very very recently started learning about Hackintoshing and want to make sure I order the right parts).

Not sure if I'm late to the party here but I just upgraded my motherboard and CPU and my Windows 7 partition boots fine with 4690k + Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H with F5 bios. That being said, I can neither boot into my old system (from my older mainboard+cpu) nor install a fresh sytem (white screen when running Uinbeast).
