Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Thank you, I deleted all Patches with issues. Now the plist is validated. I'm trying to install again. After reboot I should pick installer in bootloader and than my MacOs partition? Or keep picking installer?

I keep getting An error occurred loading the update. Where can I find the install files to delete them, and try re-downloading them?

Keep picking Installer as long as it's an option.

Thanks for the notice, I would have never thought to check given these aren't new boards.

Mine is the Z390m (non-Gaming), which seems pretty similar. The new BIOS is F7, even more vague explanation of what the update addresses ('Addresses potential UEFI vulnerabilities. (LogoFAIL)'.

That is a real vulnerability described here: https://arstechnica.com/security/20...e-vulnerable-to-new-logofail-firmware-attack/

I don't know whether it applies to hackintoshes etc though.

Anyway, I decided to risk it, updated bios no problem, only a few settings had to be returned to what they were before the update.

FWIW, I read through the documentation about this vulnerability and my understanding is that a hackintosh would be - hypothetically anyway - vulnerable; the articles refer to macs not being vulnerable but I think that's only relevant for actual mac hardware.

whether that's significant enough for anyone here to update bios just based on that - not for me to decide.

Has anyone installed BIOS F10? Does it work?
