GA-Z68XP-UD3 need help

Hi all,

Anyone here success install ML with mobo z68-ud3?

Other than sound, I got the GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard. It was pretty straightforward. No clue on the sound part, I am lost on this one.

Did you use userDSDT's when install multibeast and what is your bios? mine is F10.

I have z68 ud3 no succes on mountain lion yet very stressfull

Working great here with ALC889 sound patch und the F10 DSDT from the database!

My Bios is F6, and I used the DSDT for the Bios setting.

Hey all..

Finally I success install ML to mobo GA-Z68XP-UD3 . Here is my friend specs : CPU ( Xeon E1230 @ 3.30 Ghz , Mobo ( GA-Z68XP-UD3 F10 ) , GPU ( Sapphire HD6870 1GB ) , Ram ( Corsair DDR3 4GB x 2 ). Below is step by step how I install to my friend.

- USB ML using unibeast 1.5.0 ML , after complete I delete ATI6000Controller.Kext and put DSDT on Extra folder.
- Boot USB ML using ( -v GraphicsEnabler=No )
- Complete install ML , reboot then boot using ( -v GraphicsEnabler=No )
- Login to ML >> paste ATI6000Controller.Kext to ML desktop then install with KextBeast .
- Run Multibeast 4.6.1 and tick userDSDT's (DSDT paste to ML desktop) , System Utilities - Repair Permissions , Sound – Patched AppleHDA 889 , Network – RealTek Gigabit Ethenet 2.0 then install and reboot .
- After reboot boot with ( -v -f )
- Now ML working fine but I do something else because when reboot I need put ( -f )
- I download Chimera 1.11.0 and install
- Go to Extra folder / org.Chameleon.Boot.plist and set ( UseKernelCache=No ) save and reboot.
- Done ( ML successfully install )

I had no trouble at all installing with 10.8 on this Motherboard. Only problem is, I can't get sound!

I used MultiBeast 4.6.1 and these setting for audio

-Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kext & Enablers -> Audio -> Realtek ALC8XX -> Unified Device Injector -> ALC8xxHDA
-Drivers & Bootloaders -> Kext & Enablers -> Audio -> Realtek ALC8XX -> Patched AppleHDA -> ALC889

It worked for me on my z68xp-ud3
