Hi Everyone,

first of all thanks so much for this website it is AWESOME!!

I decided to build an hackintosh, I'm following the Sandy Bridge CustoMac Build #4 but because I live in the UK I'm not really finding the exact pieces so I just wanted to make sure that I'm not buying anything wrong

Case: Cooler Master RC-370-KKN1 Elite 370 Midi
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003 ... ROKL5A1OLE

Power Supply: OCZ 600W ModXStream Pro

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... ZYKTT1GZVV

I need this computer to do some freelance high standard VFX work, so if you think that I can do any better then this please let me know.

Thanks a lot for the support you are great!

Welcome to this site.

Your list looks good. I say go ahead.

Are you sure weareelectricals.com are reliable? They came up cheap when I searched on Google Shopping UK, but that pointed me to some bad seller reviews of them.

Thanks a lot for pointing it out, I'm going to check that.

I'll let you know if I end up going with them anyway or if I choose another eshop

How much are you spending in total Serghy ? And what are your reqs? From the amount of RAM, the i& etc . it looks like you need to play some demanding games, etc.

No it is not for gaming, I work in the VFX industry

I need to work on it on 2K/4K footage that's why I need a lot of RAM to cache what I'm doing.

At the moment I'm spending around 900 without the screen

I also live in the UK and have found it a bit tricky to get similar components but your list looks good :) similar to my work in progress :)

One thing I want to point out is that I plan on using an Intel motherboard rather than a Gigabyte one, as I can't find a Gigabyte one that has onboard wifi or bluetooth even. Correct me if I am wrong but that is why I'm going for the Intel mono and the Intel i5. Although on this website all I've seen are Gigabyte mobo's..

Serghy, how did it all pan out? I'm curious!
