External Soundcard disabling Volume Control

I have an external soundcard on my system (M-Audio Fast Track Pro) when I switch it on it is disabling the volume control (on the top right) it is greyed out. I hace installed the driver for my soundcard but still it is greyed out. Is there a possible way to enable it ?

No, many usb audio interfaces don't support control of the master volume via software.
