hello this is my first time that I'm building a hackintosh:|
I want a good graphics card for + - $140

I thought of the
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 2GB Superclocked

my question is. must I do something about this graphics card to work with mac os x
Prefer not because I'm not really good at that things

sorry for my bad english

This card works OOB in Mountain Lion.

thank you you made my day. thank you very much

Just get the 1gb ram version. The 650 doesn't have enough horsepower to get any use out of the 2gb. It isn't even powerful enough for most gaming at 1920x1080.

how can that be? Look here is this fake?

What ggeorge is saying is this:

You generally need 60fps in first person shooters (or consistently close to 60fps) to be competitive, reduce artifacts, and have generally smooth gameplay.

The GTX 650 is really at the bottom, even on medium settings. That video shows BF3 being played on medium. If you are happy with it, then by all means get it!

As mech said, also this

There is one game that shows ANY benefit, admittedly that does benefit significantly.

Basically though, if you are playing games or doing tasks that need the 2gb vs 1gb of ram, then you are doing something that simply needs a more powerful card. You'll see the same thing if you look at a 660, 660ti or even a 670 with 4gb ram vs 2gb of ram.

Get a 660 or 660ti if you want something with 2gb.

On a 650, you're just paying them $10 extra or so for nothing essentially. They put the extra ram on the card because people don't necessarily know the difference between a gk106 and a gk104 or a 192bit memory bus vs a 256bit memory bus, but they DO understand that 2 > 1 and that is what they are trying to sucker you with.
