It's due to the age of the card. It's from 2010 and is Fermi based. GF100 means it's Fermi.
The Quadro 4000 was an enthusiast-class professional graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on November 2nd, 2010. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the GF100 graphics processor
You could try buying a newer Quadro card from Nvidia. Don't know how far Cuda drivers can be updated on these but will perform much better than what you have now.
  • Quadro K5000
  • Quadro K5200
  • Quadro K6000
These cards can be found for sale on Ebay. The Mac drivers are in macOS High Sierra up to Big Sur. No need to install Web drivers. You can install the Nvidia Cuda drivers separately.
