I'm not sure this in 10.8.4 related, but it worked fine up until I updated. I don't think I've tried to play a DVD since, which is why I'm not certain.

The DVD drive is recognised by the system and working, but no DVD's mount in Finder or anywhere else.

So far I've tried:

1. Resetting PRAM
2. Mounting in Disk Utility - "Mount Failed. The disk “DVD_VIDEO” could not be mounted."
3. Repairing kext permissions with Kext Wizard
4. Checking udf.kext is present, which it is and unmodified since August 2012

Yes it's in the BIOS and the System Profiler. And it opens via the keyboard eject key. It just won't mount the discs.

Never mind. I'm getting a Mac Pro next week, so I'm done with this Hackintosh malarkey for now.

Thanks anyway.
