Dual boot windows 8 and os x mavericks

Hello i am new to dual booting and have a two questions
1. can i install os x on a gpt partition i made in windows?
2. If i can install mac on a gpt partition how do i install it so i can boot to either mac or windows in windows bootmgr or do i need a seperate boot manager like EasyBCD

Windows installed on GPT still has protected MBR for partitions.
If you format the drive using Win8, then Win8 installs EFI and Chimera can't boot it.
If you want to install on GPT drive, then format with OS X disk utility.
