Hello All.
I am planning on building a dual boot hackintosh on a tight budget, i will be using windows 7/8 for gaming and osx 10.7/10.8 for video and audio editing.
Here is the list of stuff i will put into it:
i3 3225 (3.3GHZ, intel hd 4000)
Gigabite H61M-S2PV
G-Skill Ripjaws X F3 1600MHZ
400Watt PSU (Already bought)
Samsung 22X SATA DVD BURNER (already bought)
Fractal Design Core 1000 (already bought)
ATI Radeon HD 5450
40gb IDE Hdd

So, the questions:
1. What kind of speed will i get in osx?
2. how should i install? (iboot,multibeast/unibeast?)
3. Should i use sl,l,or ml?!

Thank You in advance!!
;)

Do you have access to a "real" mac? If you do not, start with SL: iBoot + retail SL DVD + MultiBeast
You have listed a Sandy Bridge board and an Ivy Bridge processor. This works not so well. Better to use a SB CPU with SB board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115090
Drop the HD5450 and use onboard HD3000 graphics to start with and get a Samsung 830 or Crucial M4 SSD for a boot drive. The IDE drive willl not work because you can't set the port to AHCI

Thanks for the Reply!

I Have a AMD Laptop running 10.6.0

Right, Would a i3-2125 do it?? http://www.cclonline.com/product/66...-i3-2125-3-30GHz-Dual-Core-Processor/CPU0056/
*EDIT* I Probably Cant Use it Because it apparently doesn't support 1600mhz ram: http://processors.findthebest.com/compare/761-853/Intel-i3-2125-vs-Intel-i3-3225
(I'm living in the uk so i can't use newegg.)

The Drive will be replaced with a 80gb sata drive.

(BTW: The full budget is £260) ive spent £55 on case, dvd drive and psu.

Can you update the laptop to 10.6.6 and get the app store and download Mountain Lion? Then you could go pure Ivy Bridge.
You have ~£205 to work with try this board http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007KZQFES/?tag=tonymacx86-21 and this CPU http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008F65MR2/?tag=tonymacx86-21 for £184.91 leaves you with £20 to use elsewhere, maybe some ram http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002LE8D2A/?tag=tonymacx86-21

Final solution (i'm not hitler)

That Would Work, But i seemed to have Streached out the budget slightly to £215 thanks to selling my Pentium 4 hackintosh, By tempereraly using Cheap 4gb ram i can get:

Intel i5 2500k: http://www.cclonline.com/product/44...-i5-2500K-3-3GHz-Quad-Core-Processor/CPU1109/
[h=1]Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D2V: http://www.cclonline.com/product/75...ds/Gigabyte-GA-H61MA-D2V-Motherboard/MBD0340/[/h]4gb Ram: http://www.cclonline.com/product/54...CL-Choice-1333MHz-DDR3-Memory-Stick-/RAM1229/

Revised on, these parts are compatable, il come back to the thread when its done.
Thanks for your advise :p
