Hello I'm new to the Hackintosh scene and have installed my PC with your Multibeast and iBoot tools.

The last 2 days I have read this forum and used some of the tutorials (Chimera 1.5.1 installation and DSDT injection) to get my grafix card to work.
But nothing help for me. My last work was I undo the DSDT injection and installed chimera with the mac mini smbios.plist.
The result is that I have only a resolution of 1024x768 an can't watch a Flash videos or make screen shots with the apple tool. In my Bios I set 368 MiB for the internal gfx card but MacOS use only 64 MiB.

I don't know what I can do to get a better Screen. Had some one a hint?
Thank for any help.

No sorry.
I had used this one more than one time to install the gfx card but no luck.
My last try was this how to too. So I'm on Chimera 1.5.1 with the Macmini5,1 smbios.plist.

Today I have make a new try.
- boot from iboot to Mac 10.6.3 installation process
- quick format my Mac partition and start the installation
- automatic reboot and start with iboot to the installed MacOS
- start the UpdateHelper tool to prepare the update to 10.6.8
- open Multibeast and start the MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8 update
- at the end of the update process my pc freezes
Now it is not possible to boot from the installed partition.

Another try
- boot from iboot to Mac 10.6.3 installation process
- quick format my Mac partition and start the installation
- automatic reboot and start with iboot to the installed MacOS
- Uses MultiBeast with this options:

- start the UpdateHelper tool to prepare the update to 10.6.8
- open Multibeast and start the MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8 update
- the same again, at the end my pc freezes
No boot from the installed partition is possible.

What I have make wrong?

OK, here I'm again.
I have clearly installed 10.6.8 on my hardware without any hang up. My problem was that I have made a standard installation from the DVD. After I use only a minimal installation everything go fine till the end.

- Use in Bios 384 MB for graphics RAM and ACPI mode for SATA device
- Installation with the minimum options. At the end a success screen is shown.
- Starting from iBoot-Cd and boot the new Snow Leo 10.6.3
- start Multibeast 3.8.0 with my options
- install Chimera 1.5.1
- install Boothelper for 10.6.8 update
- try to boot from hard disk with no luck, start with boot cd
- update to 10.6.8
- start Multibeast 3.8.0 with my options
- reboot without a boot cd
- insert the Snow Leo DVD and installed the optionals packets.
- update to 10.6.8 again
- start Multibeast and choose the same options once again.
- copy the smbios.plist for a Mac Mini 5.1 to the /Extra folder.
- install Chimera 1.5.1
- Reboot

The system boots but if I use "-v" as boot option the Mac miss a Nvidia-Gfx Card and slow down the boot process. I have only a 1024x768 resolution and a unknown graphics card in the system profiler with a ID 0122.

Downloaded kexts: drivers for intel HD3000.
Add my GFX-ID "0x01228086" to the "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" section in the file "AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/Contents/Info.plist".
Copy both files to "/System/Library/Extensions".
Modify user and group with "chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/*" and reboot.
The result is that it boots faster but the graphic resolution (1024x768) is the same.

I'm having the same issue.

10.6.8 works great, everything is running fine (iBoot + MultiBeast + 10.6.8 combo + update helper).

However, my display can only access 1024x768, 64MB video memory, unknown device.
I'm on a Gigabyte Z68MX-Ud2h-B3 motherboard.

I tried Chimera and what I thought was the MacMini smbios on an earlier install. It might have worked, but the display just turned off, while the machine stayed on. So I had to clean install to get it working again.

Ideas?

I have new findings.
If I stay at the boot manager and use the options "-v -f" for rebuild the kext-cache the boot up process didn't finish.
After that I have to use MultiBeast again to fix this behaviour.

I think that every time I move the intel HD3000 driver to "/System/Library/Extensions/" the kernel cache wasn't clean updated and the system freeze.

In hope to fix the kext-cache I have run multibeast after the installation of the new driver.
The result is the same as before only a 1024x786 resolution.

In a shell I have seen that my new driver kext files has a @ at there rights

---8<---
drwxr-xr-x@ 3 root wheel 102 Jun 24 08:14 AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext/
drwxr-xr-x@ 3 root wheel 102 Jun 24 08:28 AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/
--->8---

what does this @ means?
The other files didn't have this @.
