Everything is patched correctly for backlight to work and ACPIBacklight.kext is installed.

But you're using a desktop ig-platform-id. Backlight control is only available with mobile ig-platform-id values ((0xa260006, 0xa260005, 0xa260000, 0xa160000, 0xa2e0008).

I will try injecting one of those and see if it works.

Woohoo! dimming now works. Still have some graphics glitches in the menu bar but using 0xa260006 gives the most stable performance. Funny its only the File, Edit, View etc menus that have glitches. Battery, Time, Wifi etc are perfect.

@donradii

if you want, i can pass my EFI partition.. i've the i7 version, i think you should only regenerate SSDT.aml for PM

Couldn't PM you. You have it disabled :)

in Display preferences switch the color profile to s-RGBblabla (don't remember the correct name), it will fix all glitches after login (you still have some artifact at the first boot on the login screen) :)

switched back to original bios, too many options and variable to make it boot..

now, Yosemite installed, i've patched successfully the native AppleHDA to recognize the ALC668 thanks to the topics of XPS13 and XPS15 but cannot get work CodecCommander to reset the audio after sleep :\

Here is my IOReg and Info.plist

Audio in 10.9 is the last key to making this my go to laptop. I hope we can get it working soon.
