So, I was going to upgrade my old (late 2008) mac book pro. Has 10.5.8 on it now. I read I had to put Snow Lep on it first then go to Mountain Lion. I have ordered the disk and it should be here in a few days. I have been backing up everything to an external. Anyways, my Mac has seen better days, note: 9 year old son who likes to play ninja, and computers not a good combo. The Mac took a spill now the monitor is cracked....
So, I had the idea of using my Dell Latitude e6510, with windows7 running on it right now, and making this my travel mac.
Dell Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M520 @ 2.40GHz
Installed Memory 4.0 GB
System Type 64-bit
So, can I upload right to Montain Lion, or do I need to do Snow Lep, then upgrade. Is there anything special I need to do first.
My IT skills are in networking, so if I have to go into bios just keep it simple.
Thanks.
