At work I got this, we can do with them whatever we want, so installing MacOS would be the first get-together, I guess.

CPU: Intel Core i7-5600U, 2x 2.60GHz • 8GB DDR3 • 256GB SSD • Intel HD Graphics 5500 (IGP), HDMI, Mini DisplayPort • Display: 14", 1920x1080, non-glare • 3x USB 3.0, Gb LAN, Smartcard • Wireless: WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE • Webcam: 1.0 Megapixel

So far I collected following Intel:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-intel-hd-graphics-5500-on-os-x-yosemite-10-10-3.162062/

I think these ones are also useful:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/dell-latitude-e7450-post-install-stuff-need-help-with.174996/

I read that the WWAN M.2 slot can also be used for an additional SSD, did anyone try that?

Thanks

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

Pay attention the Broadwell info in the FAQ. It is important.

Thanks but I will definitely not touch the BIOS.

You suggest I go with 10.11?

What I don't quite understand in the DVMT discussion is if the RAM amount has influence on it? So if I add more RAM is it changing?

No idea what you're referring to.

If you are afraid to make BIOS changes, you will not likely be successful.

Only 10.11 has stable Broadwell support.

What I don't quite understand in the DVMT discussion is if the RAM amount has influence on it? So if I add more RAM is it changing?

The Broadwell graphics drivers assume and require 64mb or greater DVMT-prealloc.
The setting has nothing to do with the amount of RAM installed.

OK I just wanted to write...

Yes I am afraid to touch the BIOS after I already bricked my Samsung. They want $700 to fix it.

It should not be possible to brick a laptop by making BIOS setting changes.

Now... if the settings are not provided by the BIOS UI, that is a different thing...

That's what I meant.

Do you think the WWAN module in the M.2 can be replaced by a SSD?

I have not seen a WWAN M.2 module/slot, so can't tell you. What form factor is the M.2 slot? Most M.2 WiFi cards are 2230.

M.2 information you should be familiar with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2

Thanks! I got it running, installed 10.11.

It actually went quite smoothly. The battery status is even working oob. The keyboard is working but not the touchpad. Also missing the brightness after I managed to set up the clover dvmd patch. Also no sound and the Intel WIFI/BT card is not supported.

Sleep/wake is also not working.

I'll check the FAQs and other docs but it's actually a very nice laptop with great keyboard, weight and the screen is also very good.
