Installed Lion using tonymacs guide, everything is working perfectly, except for 1 minor problem: my memory shows as RAM instead of DDR3.

  • If both modules are installed, one is detected as DDR3 with manufacturer and etc, but the second one is just RAM with "unknown" manufacturer, part and serial number.
If I have one module installed, it's just RAM with unknowns.
Changing modules and sockets didn't help at all, same sh

Didn't have this problem with SnowLeo. How to fix that?

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

unrelated I know but, did you get your mini display ports working with lion? Thanks :)

Probably un-related but if it's dual channel shouldn't your memory be in slots 1 and 3 and not 0 and 1 on your motherboard?

My system does this in Snow Leopard and Lion.

I had similar issues until i changed a couple settings in bios from auto to enabled.

Tried what Kaabob said prior to that and worked fine as well
