When I try to boot into Safe Mode, I just get a flickering white screen. Normal mode works fine. 
I need to be in safe mode to attempt to correct a weird bug in my Messages and Facetime apps.
I can provide more details (, and I probably will when I have more time). My specs are as shown in my sig. My video card is a 6870 -- I have a feeling this is the core issue here.
If anyone has already been through this issue, can they please provide details on how they resolved it?
