Disabling USB3 controller in the bios seems to have fixed the problem!!!

That's a bad news, it means you can't use USB3 device.
I already give up SL because of this random crash issue on boot.
After upgrade my system to Lion, never got kernel panic.
I can use USB3 device and a very stable system now.

yeah that's kind of bad news. anyway it still ****s up at start-up sometimes, but it seems to be less. I guess i am using too much fancy usb stuff for the computer like a USB audio interface, USB license manager thingie, USB wifi stick, sometimes a gamepad and an external harddrive

i wont purchase anything usb3 soon i think. i am working in audio, so i also rather jump on the thunderbolt train when it's available to osx86.

but great to know that lion solved some of your problems. what is config ?

i want to confirm that by saying that since I installed Lion yesterday my customac is working better than never. very stable and until now no kernel panics at start-up whatsoever.

so LION FIXED THE PROBLEM!!

10.6.8 really ****ed my system though. so i thought i'd the jump to lion.
really glad up to now.

and unibeast/multibeast is just a delight!
