Crackling audio

I have same problem with my ALC892. Tried everything, but without success.

Well I did some experiments and have a solution on my side :
Open Utilities -> Audio and Midi
In the Built in Output you're using : set Format 96000Hz, 2ch 16 bits

With this config I have no more crackling audio

WOW... it's looks like it worked. I let some christmas music run and no sound issues so far. I hope it's permanent. But for now... THANK YOU!:headbang::clap:

Is this the same issue that happens when you are listening to iTunes, go over to youtube and start playing a video. The muffling may start right away, or at about the half way of the video. And it starts half way of the video even if iTunes is not playing. Really annoying.

I changed format to 96KHz 2ch 24 bits. I hope this will solve it.

Edit: looks like it worked! No crackling even with Essence of BJJ video, which used to start it instantly.

What web browser is everyone using? I've noticed that when the problem arises, closing Chrome seems to end it. Still not sure if this really has anything to do with it or what the problem might be.

It is Chrome ...... not sure why. But if you use Firefox and play the same thing .... no problems

In all seriousness, it does work, but music seems to be much more bass heavy for whatever reason :|
