compatibility of hp62 B24ER

hello all,
i would like to know if my laptop is compatible with snow leopard or lion..i m planning to buy a retail mac os x disc from an apple distributor here so wanna confirm which os is better suited so here goes my config
HP G62-b24ER XU602EA#ACB
Intel HM55 processor
Core i3 350M
ram-4GB
hard disk-320GB
video card -ATI HD5470 1GB
wifi adapter-Ralink 802.11 bgn RA + BT
if any other info required please let me know i m glad to post it here

im not sure about the laptop but the graphics card is a real pain. ive been trying for weeks with no success yet...

thanks for replying i tried installing retail snowleopard using this method iboot+dvd+iboot again to boot i always get a panic error and i figured out a way to boot into SL using these flags -v acpi=no cpus=1 busratio=17 without these flags impossible to boot and also i seem to have trouble with booting properly even after installation of chimera i m unable to boot chimera recognised my gfx card but only when using iboot cd
