Bit of an odd issue on my 10.7.2 hackintosh. If I sleep I am unable to wake the system (not bothered about that) and I need to hit the reset button. Next time the system boots it hangs on running fsck and I have to reinstall. Same issue in safe mode and single user.

I have tried repairing permissions in disk utility to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what's causing the problem, but you could always just turn off sleep mode if you don't care about it. You can change the settings for sleep in the System Preferences app for Mac OS X, under "Energy Saver".

Will do that but would also like to be able to fix without reinstalling as I suspect that the same issue may arise if I simply hard reset/power down the system.
