It works for me also, but in order to connect to the access point the configuration tool has to be opened and visible on the desktop. When it starts up iconized it doesn't automatically connect.
It's a non-expensive way of connecting a system to Wifi, but you need to click the configuration tool away after each boot, once it has finished its setup. With powerline or the original wifi adapter this would be seamless...
