hello all, I'm currently a student in a IB school and for my Personal Project i've decided to build a hackintosh. From what I've read so far, I think the parts I've chosen should be compatible, but i just want to double check with everyone here just in case. :D

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770

I know this won't be fully compatible until Mountain Lion.
correct me if I'm wrong, from what i've read so far HD 400 currently does not work on Lion.

Looks good except I would go with a Samsung 830 series or a Crucial M4 instead of the OCZ SSD.

What about cpu cooler and GFX card? Given any thought to that?

So far I'm thinking of going with the stock cpu cooler, and if that doesn't hold up than i'll look around. as for GFX, i think i'll go with HD 4000 for now .

Also why would you not recommend OCZ SSD, from the reviews i've read so far they're all positive.

Thanks for your advice

The new-ish Vertex 4 is a good purchase, so not to worry, just go with it.
Just make sure you upgrade the firmware on the SSD BEFORE you install the OS, as OCZ's firmware upgrade utility tends to wipe the drive...

The HD 4000 only works at 1024x768 until the next release of OS X which should be in about two weeks time as far the rumour mill goes.

As for the stock cooler, it's really quite noisy, at least once you start doing anything CPU intensive and I'd recommend something cheap like a Cooler Master TX3 as it's less than $25 and makes a world of difference.
