Broken AppleHDA after updating from 10.10.4 to 10.10.5

I think that would be for the best, considering El Capitan is also around the corner too.

Any chance you can point me in the right direction, something you reckon would be best for me?

Look at my scripts for the u430 for creating AppleHDA_ALC283.kext.

Adapt to your own Platforms/layout/codec id.

Notables:
- patches in config.plist
- Resources_ALC283 files
- makefile
- patch_hda.sh

Dear RehabMan,
it seems I also see some trouble for my ALC1150 with AppleHDA after 10.10.5 update(.
I used to replace vanilla one by Toleda's AppleHDA kext that quietely worked with 10.10.4.
But after that I've got that "cracking sounds at audio output after idle mode" that told to be addressed by Audio / AFGLowPowerState Clover Devices option. As told in http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/Devices
With 10.10.4 I managed to avoid it by choosing iMac 14 option instead of MacPro.
But with 10.10.5 this doesn't work.
Need help!
Any ideas will be highly appreciated!

Which laptop is this for? No laptop in your profile/signature.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Should I remove MacBook from my signature?

If the audio problem you're here to report is with your desktop, you should post in the appropriate desktop forum. There is an entire desktop audio forum.

This forum is only for laptops running Yosemite.
