Hey!

My HacBook is 99% complete, and all I'm missing is WPA functionality. Whenever I try to use a WPA2 network, it says "Connection failed."

I've deleted keychain, saved networks, cleared plists for it, tried a few different drivers. WEP works fine, same network/channel/ect, but when I change it to WPA2-PSK [AES], I can't connect.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Router issue? Is your router set to allow AES? Just checking...

Huzzah! I have figured it out.

I won't be a do-it-yourself *******, so here's what I did:

Download the file "airportd" from attachments, place in /usr/libexec

Reboot, using -f flag once.

WPA2-Personal working.

/usr/libexec/airportd: View attachment airportd.zip

Thanks so much for this. Following a Hackintosh rebuild I'd spent about three days googling for reasons why I could no longer get my WPA2 connection to work. I'd spent far too long on Apple support forums where people discussed wireless problems under Mountain Lion, trying those proposed solutions and getting nowhere. I don't know why I didn't look on this site sooner.

Your solution worked in seconds, so thanks! I'd have never discovered it on my own, so I really appreciate you sharing the knowledge.

Hi,
this procedure with this attachment not working on Mavericks :(

Same problem, have already solved?

Having this issue with Mavericks. When I use the solution above it doesn't work to find networks unless I use the Assistant to "problem solve".

Has anyone had this problem and gotten it working with Mavericks.
