hey,
my system runs fine under os x 10.6.8.
i have 2 hard drives, one with the os x installation and one with a windows 7 system on it.
when my machine boots up, it goes directly into os x - i don`t have the choice to boot into windows. i just enabled the ahci drivers via regedit in the windows drive but nothing changed. the only chance to get into windows is to change the priority in bios.

what can i do to have a choice quite after booting?
i used the standard iboot and mulitbeast mehod.

1000 thanks!

Same thing i have been wondering how to do.... Thanks for being first to ask :D
BTW i dont have even edited the win7 aCHI what ever. Guys guide us :D

acd, add

<key>Instant Menu</key>
<string>Yes</string>

to the com.chameleon.boot.plist in the /extra folder

But question is how to enable the AHCI drivers via regedit in windows P:p

oh man, you are the best!
that works.

THANK YOU

:)

Can you tell me exactly which guide did you follow to dual boot.
Now that i have installed the MacOSx on the 80gb hard drive, even when i set the sata to ahci and first boot to the Win vista HDD i am welcomed by "unable to boot"

- make sure you activated the ahci mode in win with regedit, there are a lot of tutorials in the web, its about 1 minute of work... if you don`t get into your win installation put the setting in bios back to ide mode
- switch back in bios to ahci
- boot into max os x
- add

<key>Instant Menu</key>
<string>Yes</string>

to the com.chameleon.boot.plist in the /extra folder

- restart
- have fun

Even after changing ahci to ide and boot from windows hdd i cant boot into windows. Regedit is pointless i dont boot in the win

did you put your win drive in bios to first priority?
i could change the boot priority and the priority of my harddrives...
putting the win before the os x drive made it possible..
