a board depends on personal preference and features you want to use. Check out the user build section and see if something you like has a build you can see how it went.

Of course that is just my bias that people like to have their options limited in order to make decisions, but I think that you can't go wrong with that advice. A lot of other permutations could work, but most people will build on these type of boards and it makes sense to stay with the herd so you don't try to troubleshoot a problem that no one has ever run into before.
