BeachBall of death on Disk utility

Hello I am trying to install using iboot with this method: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... -x-on.html

I can boot into the install using -x but I get the when I enter the disk utility.

Any Ideas?

Ok I got it working. For anybody on a MSI x58 Platinum motherboard the hard drive needs to be plugged into one of the purple ports not the red ones.
