Audio OUT is working; Mic IN is not working.

Hey guys,
I'm a relative noob here.
I've only updated to 10.6.8, as I wanted to get a feel for Snow Leopard before jumping straight into Lion.
I have a GA-EP45-UD3P mobo, which uses Realtek ALC889A.
I tried the ALC8889A kext, but had no sound, so I went with the Apple HDA kext.
This worked for normal audio, but when I tried to connect with Skype, I noticed that none of the microphone inputs were working.

Hence, I have two requests:
1. Could someone please lead to the correct kext?
2. Could you (or someone else) run me through the process of uninstalling the old one before I install the new one?

I have the same motherboard. I used to run SL and when I did I used this kext:

I've been trying to get my Lion install to work with the kexts available in MultiBeast but I am going to try that old one again and see if that works.

I have a gigabyte x58a ud3r, same audio chipset. Let me know if this works!
